What do I wear during a massage?
You will be provided with a robe and slippers prior to you massage. Once you are taken to the room the technician will leave to allow you to slip under the privacy sheet. The majority of clients choose to disrobe completely; however, we will provide disposable Spa Wear to anyone who would prefer more coverage.
When should I arrive for my massage?
Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to your service in order to give you time to change. If you would like to use our amenities please allow enough time either before or after your scheduled service.
What is the difference between a regular massage and deep tissue?
Our regular massage is a typical Swedish style massage. A Deep tissue or Sports Massage has a harder touch to get at the deeper muscles. If you have not had a massage in the past month, we would not recommend a deep tissue massage as you may be more tense and could cause injury.
Do you have a couples room?
What kind of amenities do you have at your spa?
All of our locations have full locker rooms with showers and blow-dryers. Eucalyptus Steam Rooms are available at our Green Street, Paseo Colorado, and Newport Beach locations.
What if I'm not sure what kind of facial to book?
Feel free to book a free 15 minute consultation with any of our skincare technicians. You may also schedule an appointment for one of our basic facials and then change your facial once you are in the treatment room with the technician.
Do I have to take my make-up off before I get there?
You may arrive for you facial with your make-up on. The technician will remove it in the treatment room. It is recommended that you do not reapply your make-up for several hours after your service.

Can I use the amenities when I get a facial?
Please feel free to use any of our amenities before or after your treatment. Please inform our concierge if you would like a robe and slippers.
How long does my hair have to be?
We recommend 1-2 weeks of growth (or 1/4?). This rule can vary depending on you hair growth and the specific area being waxed.
What if I use Retin A, Renova, or Accutane?
We cannot provide waxing services to any clients on these medications because it could severely damage your skin. It is the responsibly of the client to disclose that information prior to the service. We can provide tweezing services. Please inquire with the concierge when scheduling appointments.
What kind of wax do you use?
We use hot wax for all of our waxing services.
What can I expect after I get waxing done?
Depending on the sensitivity of your skin you will experience some redness and soreness. If you have had problems with waxing in the past please inform you technician prior to the service.
What if the area I want waxed is listed on your menu?
Please schedule a free consultation or discuss your needs with our concierge.
What if I'm not sure what I want done?
You may schedule a free 15min consultation to discuss what you want and to gain some ideas.
What is your pricing on corrective color?
Due to the various levels of correction we suggest scheduling a consultation to get pricing on your individual situation.
I have never had my hair colored, anything I need to know?
If you have never had color please schedule a consultation for a skin patch test at least 24 hours prior to your service.
Do you offer group rates for bridal parties or corporate events?
Please contact the individual location you wish to visit and speak the store manager about your event.
What Types of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards including: MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We also accept WaySpa, SpaWish, and SpaFinder gift certificates. We apologize that we cannot accept personal checks.
What is different about the Aveda Lifestyle Spas?
Our Aveda Lifestyle Spas exclusively offer Aveda services and retail products (Grove & Simi Valley). Our other location offer services and retail lines from other vendors in addition to Aveda (Green St, Paseo, & Newport).
